ProbeRun

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-10-19

This policy explains what personal data ProbeRun LLC ("ProbeRun", "we", "us") collects through proberun.com (the "site"), why, and what you can ask us to do with it. ProbeRun LLC is a New Jersey limited liability company.

This policy covers the site only. It does not cover the ProbeRun software, the proberun Python package, the public GitHub repository, or any hosted ProbeRun service. Those have their own terms.

What we collect

Through the early access form. The form asks for:

The form collects nothing else. Please do not put confidential information, secrets, or other people's personal data in the description field.

When you ask the FAQ a question. Your question goes to Microsoft Azure OpenAI to write the answer. We do not store questions or answers.

When you email us. If you write to hello@proberun.com, we receive your email address, your message, and whatever else you choose to include.

When you visit the site. Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This happens to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this data to identify you.

Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages, referring sites, countries and device types our visitors use. It does not use cookies or other storage in your browser, does not fingerprint you, and gives us totals only, never a record of an individual visitor. It does not record the query part of a page address.

Why we use it

We use form submissions and emails only to:

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use it for advertising or for tracking you across other sites. We do not add you to a marketing newsletter from the form.

Services we use

We use these providers to run the site. Each processes data on our behalf for the purpose listed.

Cloudflare's own privacy policy, including its Turnstile privacy addendum, applies to the data Cloudflare processes. Some of these providers process data in the United States and other countries.

We may also disclose personal data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a buyer or successor if ProbeRun LLC is sold or merged. In that last case, this policy continues to apply to the data we hold.

Cookies

The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile runs only to check forms and FAQ questions and is strictly necessary for spam protection. Because of this, the site does not show a cookie banner.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and emails for as long as the early access program runs and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Cloudflare keeps request and security data according to its own retention rules.

Your choices and requests

You can email privacy@proberun.com to:

We will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm the request comes from the owner of the email address. We cannot delete data that Cloudflare holds in its own logs, but we will delete everything we hold in Attio and in our mailbox.

Visitors in the EU and UK

If the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, this section also applies.

Who is responsible. ProbeRun LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact us at privacy@proberun.com.

Lawful basis.

Your rights. Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. These rights have legal limits, and some do not apply in every case. To exercise them, email privacy@proberun.com.

Automated decisions. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone, and we do not profile you.

Transfers. ProbeRun is based in the United States, and our providers process data in the United States and elsewhere. When your data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on the transfer safeguards our providers offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider participates in it.

Security

We limit access to form submissions to the people who run ProbeRun, and we use providers that encrypt data in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data you send us.

Children

The site is for engineers and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site, and we will email people in early access if it affects how we use their data.
